In Mali, Swinkels Family Brewers are operating successfully in the alcoholfree and strong beer categories. With “Waraya”, they want to introduce a locally brewed lager.
The brand Waraya appeals to the local pride. Waraya means lion in Bambara, the official language of Mali. Hence, the lion is the center of design for this new beer brand.
The lion is shown as part of the Malinese warrior culture with a crown and a geometric lion face referencing to traditional warrior masks. The mane depicts pride and strength.
The dominant brandcolor is gold like the eyes of the lion and the typography is proud.
