Hit the road

The ANWB is the Royal Dutch Touring Club. The new design is derived from the traditional roadmap signing and fits the brand’s ideology.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Royal Dutch Tourist Board, ANWB, is part of the Travel & Co brand. The products and gadgets are mainly spontaneous buys. Clear navigation between all the different types of products is important. The aim is to inspire the customer and make it easy to navigate
on the shelf.

The traditional roadmaps from the Royal Dutch Tourist Board have a very specific legend; different lines and colours for different types of roads. Hence the small detail; no dead end roads here, all roads are connected with each other!

We used this as foundation for the navigation. Each section – car, bike, outdoor etc. – has its own colour. For even more variation we created different types of backgrounds suiting the section.

RETAIL COMMUNICATION
In line with the new packaging grid we developed a bag that suits the ANWB formula.
To increase the visibility of the roadside service Wegenwacht – the most important aspect of the ANWB – we designed a counter display referring to a wooden race track. It’s a flexible display with magnetic components to be used for a variety of promotions.
